NonverBlaster:hover Mp3 Player Tutorial

A basic Mp3 Player to accompany your webplus website, ideal for playing any audio mp3 files.

NonverBlaster:hover has been developed by Nonverbla you can visit his blog here

NonverBlaster:hover will also play .flv and .mov video files and my tutorial can be found here

1. Download the zipped file - Includes javascript, swf, for both the mp3 player and video player, plus single paged WebPlus files so you can see how they fit together in a Webplus site.

2. Using an ftp program such as filezilla add the complete ‘nonver’ file to the root of your server, this contains everything needed for music player to work. Your own mp3 files can be added to the ‘media’ file to keep things organised.

3. Include the following script in the head of the master page or the page you wish to use the mp3 player.

Copy and paste > Insert > Web Object > HTML > Paste to Head.

4. Copy the following code and paste it in to the body of your web page. You will need to set the complete ‘href’ path to the mp3 file location for example: http://serifaddons.com/nonver/media/Kotelett-Piaffe.mp3"

Copy and paste > Insert > Web Object > HTML > Paste to Body

Placement of the mp3 player will depend on the placement of the HTML fragment.

To listen to this song, you need the latest Flash-Player and active javascript in your browser.

Uploading the page should now display the player and sample music track.

Configuring the player

Change the colour of the controls in the section of the code in the body:

flashvars.controlColor = "0xffffff";

Change the hex value (ffffff) to the desired colour.
